BACK TO SCULPTURE
One of several commissions from a repeat client near Rye in East Sussex. This was my 2nd animal sculpture and was commissioned in secret as an "iron" wedding anniversary gift. Approximately 3/4 the size of a real cormorant the spread wing posture is how they dry their wings. Standing on a piece of Romney Hythe and Dymchurch light railway track in a nod to where my client originally saw the cormorant with her then courting boyfriend. The pictures below show it beginning to rust in its final home and unrusted in its temporary home in my parents' conservatory.
