LESSONS
Blacksmithing experience day lessons are run from my fully equipped forge at North Elham, near Canterbury, and are designed to introduce novices to a range of traditional forging techniques. Pupils will learn how to shape hot metal with hammers and tongs, creating beautiful and functional items that are free to take away. The lessons are designed to be fun and informative, so pupils not only have a great experience, they learn about the craft.
Lessons are available either privately or as part of small groups, both types are lessons are 4 hours long and run 10am – 2pm.

​The day will begin with a short safety induction before starting on your first project.

Lesson projects are agreed in advance, unfortunately project requests made on the day cannot be accommodated. Everything made in the day is free to take away and lessons are designed to ensure everyone has something to take away. There are no scheduled breaks, but you're welcome to bring a cold drink or a snack. Tea and coffee will be provided. I have a microwave and fridge at my workshop.​
