I make plant supports as stock items as well as bespoke and to order. My spiral plant supports and square obelisks simply just push into the ground and are ideal for climber plants like sweet peas, clematis, roses, tomatoes, and runner beans.
I make are spiral plant supports in 3 foot and 6 size variations and obelisks in 3 different heights. In the picture where I am standing next to the obelisks you can see their full leg lengths as I did not push them into the ground. Customers typically push obelisks into the ground around 1 foot. My spirals have a right angle bar on the spine for you to put your foot on to help push them into the ground. The short spirals have a 14 inch spike, the tall spirals have an 18 inch spike.
