BACK TO GATES

This was my second gate commission from clients who previously commissioned a pair of double fern motif gates that they were extremely happy with, so this was the difficult second album. Their brief was for a rose and clematis gate, featuring a dragonfly and a newt. Every petal of the roses was textured and shaped individually to create unique texture, and I made the clematis from square hollow tube. I forged the dragonfly with life-like detail and purchased a solid cast bronze newt to utilize in the latch.
