BACK TO GATES
These double gates were my third gate commission from clients who previously commissioned a pair of double fern motif gates and an ornate rose and clematis gate, that they were extremely happy with, so they had high hopes for these gates. At the heart of these double gates is the outline of tree trunk, rising up and branching out with full leaves. Lower down are stylized jazzy grasses, large hosta leaves, and my clients also requested two dragonflies and a butterfly within the design. These gates also featured hinges that were set back behind the wall and matched the contour of the archway brickwork, this gives the gates an increased range of opening.
